North Walsham Self-Catering Holiday Cottages

A buzzing mid Norfolk market town.

Check Availability

North Walsham is a wonderful mid-Norfolk market town which is steeped in Anglo-Saxon history. The area is nestled right between the Norfolk coast (think Mundesley, Walcott, Sea Palling) and the famous Norfolk Broads, as well as within easy access to tourist hubs such as HoltSheringham and Cromer. If you are considering mixing your time between the coast and the Norfolk Broads then North Walsham and the surrounding villages and countryside are right where you need to be.

North Walsham has great transport connections, serviced by many bus routes and the Bitten train line which runs between Norwich and Sheringham, so countryside lovers can easily make their way around this pocket of Norfolk. There are some well-loved pubs, cafes, attractions and restaurants located within easy reach to the town and its villages too, meaning you don’t have to travel too far for an evening of great food and drink. We’re constantly adding new properties to our profile, take a look at our latest North Walsham holiday cottages, Meadow Barn and Little Meadow, and start booking your next break away today.

Perfect for: Anyone looking to explore the whole of Norfolk and the North Norfolk coast.

Don’t miss: Bacton Woods. Over 280 acres of beautiful woodland are owned by the Forestry Commission. A really peaceful place to unwind with dogs and the family. There are various trails to follow and it’s perfect for cycling too. Don’t miss the bluebells!

Our favourite places: Not too far from North Walsham is beWILDerwood, which is one of Norfolk’s most loved family attractions. If you’re in the area then don’t miss out on a trip here! Another favourite is paddle boarding on the Norfolk Broads from Coltishall, followed by a meal at The Recruiting Sergeant.

Events: North Walsham itself isn’t renowned for annual events, however, look out to areas such as Cromer, Sheringham and the Norfolk Broads and there’s PLENTY! The August carnivals in Cromer and Sheringham are vibrant occasions, alongside regular events at both Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, micro-festivals at local pubs such as The Gunton Arms, summer festivals such as The Worstead Festival and The Aylsham Show on the August bank holiday. There’s so much to do in this part of Norfolk, you may just have to leave some for your next visit!
