Taking long, uninterrupted beach walks are a great way to relax and unwind. The long sandy beaches of Mundesley provide the perfect backdrop for relaxed day trips and sightseeing. Blue flag status means throughout the summer months the beach is watched by lifeguards and everyone will be kept safe throughout your stay. With Victorian and wartime heritage Mundesley is a great choice for your break.

Don’t miss: Bring your golf clubs as Mundesley has its own 9-hole golf course. You may also want to venture over to Happisburgh to visit Great Britain’s only independently run lighthouse which was built in 1790.

Our favourite places: We love the beach. Just down the road from Mundesley is Walcott Beach which has a fish and chip shop alongside an ice cream parlour. Park up, grab your favourite beachy treat and head onto the beach for a stroll!

Events: Mundesley is serviced by some great, local towns such as Cromer and North Walsham. Cromer’s New Year’s Day fireworks and summer carnival are highlights of the area.

Dog-Friendly Cottages in Mundesley

Indulging in leisurely, uninterrupted strolls along the beach with your dog is a wonderful way to unwind and find solace. The expansive sandy shores of Mundesley offer an idyllic setting for unhurried day outings and exploration. Although dogs are not allowed on the Promenade section of the beach between 1 May and 30 September, the rest of the beach is dog-friendly all year round.

Sunny Beck Cottage: A short stroll from the village’s Blue Flag sandy beach, this cottage rests on a serene, tree-lined lane, a peaceful reprieve from the vibrancy of Mundesley’s daily rhythm. It features a delightful enclosed rear garden complete with a charming summer house — perfect for both four-legged friends and families.

Little Meadow: Accommodating a duo of guests and their furry companions, this chic annexe has undergone a stylish refurbishment in 2021. An inviting and snug retreat, it’s an ideal haven for a couple or small family seeking the added convenience of ground-floor living.
