Places to Eat and Drink In Mundesley

The Ship Inn

This traditional pub provides casual dining with unparalleled views of Mundesley’s golden coastline. Located right on the seafront, it offers ample parking and a large beer garden that backs onto the beach. The pub is also dog-friendly, so your furry friends can join in the fun.

Fish and Chips Galore

If you’re in the mood for a chippy tea, Mundesley boasts an excellent selection of fish and chip shops.

The Beach Hut Café

Planning to spend the day on the beach? Head over to The Beach Hut Café, where you can enjoy a coffee, a freshly baked scone, or an ice cream, come rain or shine. During the summer, they also offer The Lobster Pot, which sells freshly caught crabs, shellfish, and mini seafood platters.

New Sage Chinese Takeaway

We promised an abundance of dining options, and New Sage Chinese Takeaway is perfect for a treat after a long journey or a busy day exploring the coast or the Norfolk Broads.

A Little Further Afield

If you’re willing to explore locally, a visit to Suffield Arms, just a 10-minute drive inland, is highly recommended. You can also check out its sister pub, The Gunton Arms, located on the edge of a 1,000-acre deer park established in the 18th century.

Cromer also has a fantastic selection of eateries. In the summer, try Sundown at The Grove or pop into The Gangway for a craft ale and sausage roll. A local favorite for coffee is Grey Seal, and for fish and chips, Mary Jane’s is unbeatable.

For family-friendly dining, we love taking the children to Cromer’s newer establishment, The Cliftonville. Recently refurbished to a high standard, it offers a great menu for both adults and children. Enjoy a board game and a 14-inch pizza while looking out at the North Sea.

Bliss!
