Visit Wells-next-the-sea

Just 15 miles from Burnham Market when you are on this part of the coast, why not visit the coast and enjoy time at one of the best beaches in the region. With sweeping sandy beaches, a pinewood, bustling harbour and the famed rows of colourful beach huts, Wells is a great destination for families, dog walkers and couples alike. With a rich history of fishing there are also plenty of highly regarded fish and chip shops that make a delicious and convenient location to stop for lunch.

Go Shopping

Due to its unique range of shops, ranging from small independent boutiques to farm shops and jewellers you can find a range of Norfolk souvenirs, clothes, homeware and gifts. All we recommend is making sure you have space in your bag to take home your treasures!

Go on a Hike

Nelson’s Way is a 404 mile long walk which follows a route from Burnham Thorpe and travels through many beautiful parts of the coast associated with Admiral Horatio Nelson. If you don’t fancy walking the entirety of this route there is a lovely section of the walk, just 11 miles which takes you to Holkham through the Nature Reserve. As with many coastal walks in the region, like the Norfolk Coast Path, there are many sections that can be complete circular walks in their own right and are more manageable in length.
