Our self-catering Wells-next-the-sea holiday cottages

Popular with locals, Wells-next-the-sea (commonly known as just Wells) offers a large beach lined with beach huts and an extensive pine tree woodland. Whichever way you walk along the coast you can make your way to another town, Holkham tends to be the most popular to walk to. The town has a small harbour where crabbing and fishing take place daily. Independent shops line both sides of the street and plenty of food and drink options. If you’re tired after exploring, catch a small train from the town centre to the beach before continuing your holiday.

Wells is jammed packed with activities and opportunities for peaceful walks. Your holiday cottage is close to all the local amenities so you can pop in and out as you wish, although there’s so much to do we doubt you’ll be in that often! We provide all the basics including towels and bed linen, and your property will have all necessary white goods for you to use throughout your stay. Take a look at our cottages along the seafront and find the perfect property for your holiday needs.

Perfect for: Families, groups, walkers, bird watchers, and romantic winter breaks.

Don’t miss: The fabulous array of 200+ colourful beach huts along the beautiful sandy beach of Wells, just a short walk from the car park.

Our favourite places: The spectacular sandy beach. Alongside this though we are partial to a pizza at The Globe Inn which is located with The Buttlands in Wells, just a short walking distance to the busy high street. Just outside of Wells is Holkham and another one of our favourite coastal pubs – The Victoria.

Events: Wells has a great summer carnival at the end of July/early August which makes for a buzzing town centre! A great event for all ages! It’s so close to Holkham Hall too, which has a great calendar of events (and beach – famed for some scenes in the film Shakespeare in Love).
