Just a little way up the coast from Brancaster, Burnham Market provides a beautiful location for your holiday. Lying just six miles from Wells-next-the-Sea and just two from Brancaster Beach, it’s surrounded by beautiful coastlines. Throughout the year you can walk through salt marshes and over sand dunes at Burnham Overy Staithe following the trail to Wells. The town itself is full of culture from its Georgian background, with traditional buildings and shops offering a unique opportunity for antique shopping. Perfect for sailing holidays and giving the family plenty of activities like paddle boarding and bird watching, Burnham Market is a great place to explore.

We have a few different holiday cottages located within Burnham Market suitable for both families and couples. For short stays, the close-to-town location means that within a two-minute walk, you can be sitting in the pub tucking into a lovely meal.

Burnham Market is a traditional town and by staying in our 17th-century holiday property (No 4 Postmill Cottages) you can immerse yourself in the experience, but don’t worry, despite its history, the cottage comes with all the modern amenities including Wi-Fi and a smart TV.

Perfect for: Families, romantic breaks, coastal breaks, shopping and for those who love fine dining!

Don’t miss: If you love fish, then you’re not going to want to leave without heading to Gurneys Fish Shop, the fish cakes and smoked salmon are a must!

Our favourite places: We love a meal at Socius, their Sunday roasts are not to be missed, The Hero pub at Burnham Overy Staithe is also one of our favourites and is definitely worth a visit.

Events: Burnham Market’s local pubs/restaurants and shops host many seasonal events; however the village’s largest event is their Christmas Lights turn-on.
