Some of the best Norfolk events planned for 2022
When planning a trip away it's always handy to know what's going on in the area...and when. Norfolk has a really great events schedule throughout the year, with family friendly events aplenty.
After the last 2 years we are so excited to hopefully be back to normal with events in 2022. Norfolk usually has a great events calendar, so we are buzzing to enjoy these well-loved and vibrant days out! You may like to take note of what events are happening in the area, after all, we'd hate for you to miss out on a carnival or the Red Arrows.
Here is the events calendar for Norfolk in 2022 (subject to change, this was correct at the time of writing):
2nd - 19th: Easter Egg-Stravaganza at Wroxham Barns. Another Wroxham Barns special! A joyful day out with the family. Farm animals, play areas, trains, cafes and of course - plenty of animal feeding! If you're heading to the Norfolk Broads for the day then make sure you stop over for an Easter fun-filled day here!
8th & 22nd: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea. Have you ever fancied having a private tour of the Queen's residence followed by a quintessential afternoon tea on the estate? Well, this is exactly what Sandringham offers on select days through the year. We have listed all the 2022 days in this events diary - however this is super popular, so get booking your dates soon if you're seriously considering this stand out Norfolk day out.
5th, 7th, 12th & 14th: Easter Family Forest Run at Sandringham Estate. Throughout the Easter holidays Sandringham Estate organise family runs through the royal woodlands. If you're an active family then why head over for an early morning run before finishing off with breakfast in one of Norfolk's amazing, local cafes.
9th: Sheringham Viking Festival. This is a really popular event for the whole family! A great occasion to pop over to from your Norfolk holiday let! Sheringham has lots going on through the year. If you fancy staying in a buzzing coastal town then you may like to read some more on Sheringham.
30th - 2nd May: Living Heritage Food, Craft and Wood Festival at Sandringham Estate. This event tours many estates around the country and brings together celebrity chefs, local and national businesses, crafty workshops and demonstrations, street food vendors, vintage machinery, live music and much more. A really fabulous day out for all ages in West Norfolk.
6th - 8th: Folk On The Pier. If you love folk music, then this event is right up your street! Each day is an afternoon and evening concert full of great folk music, right on the pier. What better a way to spend a May weekend in north Norfolk?
6th & 20th : Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea.
13th - 29th: Norfolk And Norwich Festival. An annual arts festival held annually in and around Norwich. This festival is full of music, performances, comedy, art installations - you name it, and it pulls a great crowd too! It was initially a fundraiser for the Norfolk & Norwich hospital, but has grown to a much larger scale now.
28th - 5th June: North Norfolk Studios Open 2022. Come and visit north Norfolk during these dates and enjoy all the open studios full of art, photography, pottery and more.
28th: Bjorn Again at Sandringham Estate. A great evening of live music in a magically royal setting!
1st: Wiveton Hall Pizza Evenings Start For The Season.
3rd - 5th: Platinum Jubilee Events at Sandringham Estate. These events look like the perfect way to enjoy this big weekend in Norfolk! Book your stay in Norfolk with us and enjoy all that Norfolk has to offer over this wonderful weekend!
2nd - 5th: Sea Fever Literary Festival. Join leading authors in Wells-Next-The-Sea for a festival of poetry.
9th: The Killers at Carrow Road. A great evening at Norwich City's Football ground in the heart of Norwich.
15th: Elton John at Carrow Road. Another fun evening, this time singing along to Sir Elton John.
10th & 17th: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea.
2nd: Cromer Pier Shows start until October. The only pier shows in the WORLD. Yes, you read that right! A super live theatre experience with all the glitz and glamour you can imagine.
2nd - 3rd: Potty Festival in Sheringham. A famous and fun event in the coastal town of Sheringham, perfect for all ages. The Potty Festival celebrates Morris dancing and invites teams from all around the country to dance through the streets all weekend. A really great atmosphere and fun for all! Who knows, you may even pick up a move (or two).
8th: Bryan Adams at Blickling Hall. Evenings at Blickling Hall are a real must. Bring along a picnic, chairs and blankets and sit under the stars whilst watching some of the best artists in the World! 8th July is all about Bryan Adams! Come prepared to dance, sing and be merry!
8th & 15th: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea
11th: An Evening with Michael Buble at Blickling Hall. Another great evening at Blickling Hall, this time with Michael Buble. This event has been postponed many times due to covid, so it will be a special day in 2022!
12th: Olly Murs at Blickling Hall. As above, but this time you can sing your heart out to Olly Murs!
15th - 16th: Cromer Hall Legends Festival. A celebration of some of the best tribute acts around the World come to Cromer for an evening of dancing, singing - you can even bring your own picnic! BONUS!
23rd - 30th: Holt Festival. This wonderful festival is based in Holt and offers plenty of evenings out, comedy, gigs, poetry, art - you name it. Tie this in with the local carnivals and you have a great north Norfolk week away!
29th - 7th August: Wells Carnival. A week-long coastal carnival celebrating all things summer, fun and local! A great event for all ages. More details to come out soon according to the carnival committee!
30th - 31st: Worsted Festival. Back for 2022 and with lots of plans! Expect live cookery demonstrations, music, trade stands, a programme of activities, street foods and more. A great Norfolk event for the summer.
3rd: Sheringham Carnival. This is usually a week of activities with the main carnival day being the first Wednesday in August, but nothing has been confirmed yet. A week full of great activities and traditional carnival, seaside fun. An absolutely wonderful event for children and parents alike! Finishing off with a great fireworks display on Saturday night.
5th - 7th: Wide Skies & Butterflies Festival at Raynham Estate. A brand-new event which looks like it'll be great fun! Confirmed so far are the likes of: Bimini Bon Boulash, Natalie Imbruglia, Levellers, Cast and Toploader.
5th & 19th: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea.
6th: Classic Ibiza at Blickling Hall. One of our favourite summer nights out in Norfolk! Think 90s and early 00s dance music played by the Urban Soul Orchestra, live vocalists and headline DJs. Bring your picnic, glow sticks and get all glammed up for a wonderful evening under the stars.
12th - 19th: North Norfolk Music Festival. The 17th festival in north Norfolk. A great selection of afternoon concerts, perfect for those who love music.
12th - 15th: Festival of Sport at Holkham Hall. A large sporting festival for all ages bringing to Norfolk top sporting legends across a huge variety of sports in the UK. Get trained by elite athletes, have fun and enjoy the large, open space which Holkham has to offer.
13th - 19th: Cromer Carnival. As the organisers say ... Cromer Carnival will be back in 2022 with a bang. Much like Wells Carnival and Sheringham Carnival, Cromer Carnival is a week-long of fun, family events. Historically Cromer Carnival is one of the larger carnivals in the area and always pulls a huge crowd. On Wednesday they run a large carnival day which boasts a Red Arrows display off the cliffs over the sea.
29th: The Aylsham Show at Blickling Hall. A great show with a large focus on agriculture and families. The show is held at Blickling Hall and always provides plenty of fun and activities.
2nd & 6th: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea.
17th - 18th: 40s Weekend (Holt & Sheringham). A HUGE event for Sheringham and Holt. A huge event around Sheringham and Holt in north Norfolk! Don your vintage outfits and head down to Sheringham to experience all things yesteryear! Live music, reenactments, steam train trips over to Holt, picnics and beach fun.
7th: Exclusive Sandringham House Tour With Afternoon Tea.
There are usually plenty of pumpkin patches and Halloween events in October around Norfolk.
8th - 23rd December: Thursford Spectacular.
11th - 2nd January: Norfolk Lights Express (North Norfolk Railway). Book your stay in Norfolk and enjoy some of the best Christmas events the UK has to offer!

Crab & Lobster Festival in Sheringham. This is usually in May
Cromer Pier Christmas Show and Father Christmas Experience. This is usually in November and December
Luminate Sandringham. This is usually in November and December
Christmas at Holkham Hall. This is usually in December
