10 Best Places to Eat in West Norfolk

But where does West Norfolk cover?

West Norfolk is the area that covers from King’s Lynn, Hunstanton, Burnham Market, all the way through to Holkham. As a whole, West Norfolk has an area of 1439KM and has hundreds and hundreds of places to eat, drink and relax. This area of Norfolk is a holiday hotspot, so naturally you'd expect some tip top places to wine and dine along the coast (and inland too).

So let’s count down our best 10 places to eat in West Norfolk...

10. Socius

Socius is situated in Burnham Market and serves tapas as well as a fine Sunday roast. It gets fully booked very quickly and it does have a higher price point, but just by looking at the Tripadvisor reviews, you can see that it's a place that simply doesn’t disappoint. A perfect place to treat yourself if you're staying in one of our Burnham Market cottages.

9. Georgie’s Cafe

This list isn’t just for restaurants! Cafes are a great place to go if you're feeling the pangs of hunger strike! Georgie’s Cafe is in Hunstanton and it is super dog friendly. It serves coffee, cake and some hot food. An ideal place for a quick stop to eat before heading out onto the golden sands of 'Sunny Hunny'!

8. Eric’s

There are 3 different Eric’s venues in Norfolk now (Holt and 2 at Drove Orchards in Thornham). The Eric’s at Drove Orchards is a pizza restaurant (think yurts, blankets and wood fired ovens to keep you toasty) and there's a Eric’s Fish and Chip shop. Eric’s has become very popular over the last few years and the food is great. With lots of the menu both eat in and takeaway options available, it's the perfect place to head with the family come rain or shine. One of our favourite places to eat in West Norfolk without a doubt!

7. Bircham Stores and Cafe

Bircham is not far from Sandringham and it's a great place to take a pit stop. It isn’t the place for a 3-course meal but if you are looking for a little cafe that sells salads, sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, as well as snacks then this is the place for you. It is a traditional British cafe.

6. Liquor and Loaded

Liquor and Loaded is in the centre of King’s Lynn and boasts a ‘Goth-style’. With huge burgers, meaty baguettes and indulgent desserts, It's a great family friendly venue and experience if you're in the King’s Lynn area.

5. The White Horse

The White Horse is a firm favourite with both locals and tourists and it boasts one of the best locations and viewpoints around! The ingredients that the chefs use are often fresh from the sea or nearby marshes, including samphire and mussels. Make sure you book (unless you're heading to their marsh side marquee bar).

4. Chives Brasserie

Chives is another Hunstanton favourite and just minutes away from the beach. It can be found along the main Hunstanton high street, right in the middle of all the fun which this popular seaside resort offers. They serve Mediterranean-style and classic British dishes with a great choice of wines and beverages, making it the ideal place to eat, drink and relax along the West Norfolk coast.

3. The Nelson

Once again, a Burnham Market establishment is on the list. The Nelson serves traditional dishes which you eat in or take back to your West Norfolk holiday cottage. There is a carvery on a Sunday and a regular pizza menu, great for families! *FYI our holiday home 'Nelson's Nook' is located next door!

2. Briarfields

Briarfields is situated along the main road near Titchwell, which is along the Norfolk Coast. It looks over a wide expanse of marshland and has a great play area for the kids. It serves incredible food including a Sunday roast. Sit back, take in the views and enjoy the West Norfolk skies!

1. The Ffolkes

The best place to visit with kids! The Ffolkes also serves some of the best food in West Norfolk and it has an amazing play area for children. Over the last year they have also introduced their hugely popular 'Street Feast' which can be booked on certain days and promotes local street food businesses. Certainly a place to visit if you're in need of a ‘big’ bite to eat with an equally big atmosphere.
